The popular Studio Ghibli, authors of such gems as "Castle in the Sky," "My Neighbour Totoro" and "Kiki's Delivery Service" now offer their latest movie, The Secret World of Arriety, based on the children's book "The Borrowers" by Mary Norton.
Directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, the youngest animator/director in the history of Studio Ghibli, although he was supervised by the legendary studio owner Hayao Miyazaki, The Secret World of Arrietty tells the story of The Clocks, a family of small beings, just 10cm tall, who live under the floorboards of an old country house. They are never seen by normal humans, but then Arrietty, the youngest Clock, becomes friends with the young boy in the house, who is ill with a heart condition.
